- 1784 – William Michie petitioned the court for a license "to keep ordinary in my house.” A colonial ordinary (tavern or inn) was licensed to provide alcohol, food, and a bed.
- 1903 – The Charlottesville City & Suburban Railway Company was sold at public auction.
- 2011 – Two duplicate markers recognizing the "Triumph of the Charlottesville Twelve" were unveiled.
