- 1907 – Alcohol: Thirteen years before national prohibition began, Charlottesville went "dry" when city residents cast their vote and passed a local option law to make the manufacture, distribution, importation, and sale of alcoholic beverages prohibited within the city limits.
- 2015 – First game of the Charlottesville Tom Sox against New Market. The home field is Charlottesville High School.
