  • 1890 – The City Council adopted a Resolution that the Chief of Police, be directed to have the Privies on the Public School property near C. D. Carter's residence be removed to some other place on the same property, after consultation with the School Board.
  • 1924 – At 4 o’clock on this Monday afternoon, Judge A. D. Dabney admitted Mr. Jack Davis, held in connection with the liquor raid on Saturday night, to bail on two charges – having intoxicating liquor and for complicity in the assault used on Officers Maurice F. Greavers and J. R. Dowell.
