I put the election 2009 info at the top, because it's the most newsworthy, so to speak. But, maybe this should go after election 2006 in this article?--Seantubbs 16:21, 10 August 2009 (EDT)

I've been wondering about this issue for a long time, so, glad someone brings it up. To me, these articles are biographies, and biographies usually go in chronological order. I notice that this is not the case on most people pages with respect to elections. I'd vote to have people articles run in ascending order of time (after the first section that defines what's most noteworthy about them, i.e., why they're included here in the first place). Until there's consensus, I have at least changed Taliaferro's bio section to conform to this.
I'd add that "newsworthiness" shouldn't be a factor, as that changes over time, and I don't think we want to go back and change articles when we decide something isn't newsworthy anymore. And that I'm happy with the reverse chronological order on non-person pages, the "lists", like list of councillors, or history of elections. -- B.S. Lawrence 18:54, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
Works for me. Thanks for the guidance.--Seantubbs 09:58, 11 August 2009 (EDT)
