UVA Funding

For a story, I sent an email to the city seeking to find out how much UVA pays toward CAT. I got this from Krisy Hammill on August 21, 2023:

"FY24, UVA will pay CAT/City $84,900. This figure is linked to an old request for additional Trolley service (better frequency) to the University. Prior to COVID and CAT winning a Zero-Fare grant, UVA would have provided CAT/City with an additional $187,000 ($271,900 Total) to support UVA students riding CAT buses." --12:48, 28 September 2023 (EDT)
