- 1933 – A fire destroys a home near the Fry's Spring Beach Club [1]
- 1960 – A hearing was scheduled for Charlottesville Corporation Court for the taking of properties required for the forthcoming replacement of the first Belmont Bridge for what would become the second. [2]
- 1967 – Charlottesville City Council holds a special meeting to discuss purchase of a parking lot on High Street and agreed to a one-year lease for $8,400 and to purchase the lot on September 30, 1968. [3]
- 1980 – Charlottesville City Council holds a special meeting at the Virginia Municipal League convention in Arlington to sign over the deed of former Midway School to the Midway Manor association. [4]
