Repp Glaettli is a water resources specialist for Albemarle County.[1]

He manages the inspection program of private and public stormwater management facilities, allowing the county to comply with state and federal law. He evaluates and documents whether all the facilities, like rain gardens or dry ponds, are functioning as designed. If not, he works with the facility's owner to fix the issue. [2]

Glaettli developed the Piedmont Virginia Native Plant Database, the only county-specific, searchable native plant landscaping database in the United States. This database has lead to a loose affiliation of local partners creating the Piedmont Native Plant Landscaping Initiative. The organization's first native plant symposium was held in February 2013.[2]
