Randi Hvatum

Randi Hvatum was a Charlottesville artist who was one of the founders of the McGuffey Art Center. [1] She died on January 7, 2016.

Biography

Hvatum was born in 1926 in Trondheim, Norway and studied under Harald Stabell at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. That is also where she met her husband, Hein. They came to the U.S. in 1959 he began work with the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in West Virginia. The family moved to Charlottesville in 1965.
