Paul Saunier was a Democratic party leader in the City of Charlottesville. The Charlottesville Democratic Committee selected Saunier to work with counterparts in Albemarle County to manage a joint campaign for the U.S. Senate races for Harry F. Byrd, Jr. and William B. Spong and the Seventh District Representative John O. Marsh, Jr.[1]
