The Honorable Paul Garrett is the elected Clerk of the Charlottesville circuit Court. He was first elected to the post in 1981, but was defeated in August 2011 for the Democratic nomination by Llezelle A. Dugger. [1]
Biography
Garrett grew up in Charlottesville and graduated from the University of Virginia's School of Law. He was appointed to be clerk in 1981 following the death of Carl Hennrich. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant city attorney. [1]
2011 election
Garrett announced his intentions to run for another term on April 20, 2011. [2] Garrett was first elected in 1981. [3]
