Out of Bounds is a residential community in Albemarle County under construction that is being developed by Weather Hill Homes. As part of the plan, a new traffic pattern emerged at the intersection of Barracks Road and Georgetown Road. [1] Developer Vito Cetta told the Albemarle Planning Commission in May 2013 that the parcel was one of the last in the growth area where high-density residential would fit.

Background

The Commission recommended the project for approval in late July 2013. [2]

The Board of Supervisors had concerns at its first reading of the project in November 2013. [3]

Cetta requested a reduction in the cash proffers associated with the rezoning in early 2016 with attorney Valerie Long arguing they were not compliant with state law. The Planning Commission recommended denial of the application on April 26, 2016. [4]
