History

The origins of the monastery date back to when six nuns from Wrentham, Massachusets moved to a log cabin in Albemarle County. Since then the monastery has expanded to 15 nuns. A construction phase that began in December 2014 added several new rooms including a cheese shop. They began making cheese in 1990. [2]
