- 2021 – Charlottesville Schools Superintendent Rosa Atkins officially retired [1]
Deaths
- 1754 – Joshua Fry falls off his horse while leading troops through the Ohio Country at the beginning of the French and Indian War, subsequently dying from his injuries. Fry was a prominent inhabitant of early Albemarle County and an influential surveyor throughout Virginia.
