The Martha Jefferson Neighborhood Association is a group that looks out for the interests of homeowners and residents of the neighborhood that surrounds the current Martha Jefferson Hospital. The current president of the association is John McLaren.

Historic district

In April 2010, the association formally asked the city to designate the neighborhood as a historic district[1]. If granted by the city, the designation would call for extra scrutiny any time a property owner wants to demolish a building or construct a new one.
