Deaths
- 1928 – George W Buckner dies in St. Louis, Missouri. A resident of Fifeville and a prominent leader of Charlottesville's Black community, he co-founded the People’s Finance Company for Negroes and worked to organize a program of rehabilitation between Whites and Blacks for the good of the community in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the aftermath of the Tulsa race massacre.
