- 2022 – In the face of continued legal setbacks and the dogged resistance of the Monacan Nation, the James River Water Authority (JRWA) officially votes to choose a different site than Rassawek to construct its water pumping facilities.
Births
1895 – Lafayette Johnson is born in Staunton, Virginia. A World War I veteran, Johnson had his portrait photograph prominently included within the Holsinger Studio Collection.
