Lark on Main, formerly The Uncommon,[2] is a multistory mixed-use building at 1000 West Main Street that was completed in 2016. The complex was developed by CA Student Living of Chicago[3] and sold to Mapletree Investments in November 2016.[2]

The building was fully occupied in its first year of opening. [4] The developers chose to pay $331,450.68 into the Charlottesville Affordable Housing Fund rather than build affordable units onsite.[5]
