- 1993 – Virginia Moore dies from cancer in Lake Forest, Illinois. A prominent poet and historian, Moore resided at Cliffside for many years and served as a president of both the Board of the Scottsville Museum Foundation and the Board of the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library.
