Jefferson School African American Heritage Center

The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center (JSAAHC) is located 233 4th St. NW - within the Jefferson School City Center - and serves as a focal point for preserving the African-American heritage of Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

Funding

FY2019

Council committed $500,000 from its Strategic Initiatives fund to pay for operations. This is in addition to other funding made through the ABRT process. [1]

FY2018

Council committed $450,000 from its Strategic Initiatives fund to pay for operations. This is in addition to other funding made through the ABRT process. [2]

FY2017

City Council restored a $30,000 funding request that had not been recommended by the Agency Review Budget Team. [3]
