Jay C. Brown is a University of Virginia Professor Emeritus. As a member of the Charlottesville Democratic Committee, he serves as co-chair of the Buford Precinct.

Brown has lived in the City of Charlottesville's Jefferson Park Avenue Neighborhood since 1977. He is a University of Virginia Professor Emeritus, Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology.[1]
