Jaberwoke was a restaurant located on The Corner. It was purchased by brothers Anderson McClure and Pat McClure in June of 2006[1] and became the restaurant Three in 2007.[2]
Controversy
In 2007, UVa students and community members accused Jaberwoke owner Anderson McClure of using a dress code to keep African Americans out. McClure said he was responding to poorly-behaved customers who often wore the same types of clothing; he later suspended the dress code altogether.[3]
