Hollymead Elementary School

Hollymead Elementary School is an Albemarle County public elementary school that teaches students from pre-K through fifth grade and is part of the county's Northern Feeder Pattern. As of 2012 Hollymead has 567 students enrolled and 87 staff and faculty members.[1]

Hollymead Elementary was established in 1972 and continues to strongly emphasize both academics and the arts. Hollymead is a four-time recipient of the Governor's Award for Education Excellence.[1]


The current principal is Nancy Teel.[2]

Baseball field

Carson Raymond Field at the school got lights for the first time in April 2017, allowing for games in the Northside Cal Ripken Youth Baseball League to play into the evening. [3]
