Hollymead Elementary School

Hollymead Elementary School is an Albemarle County public elementary school that teaches students from pre-K through fifth grade and is part of the county's Northern Feeder Pattern. [1]

At the beginning of the 2019 school year, Hollymead reported 440 students enrolled in pre-K through 5th grade. [2]

History

Hollymead Elementary was established in 1972 and continues to strongly emphasize both academics and the arts. Hollymead is a four-time recipient of the Governor's Award for Education Excellence.[1]

Description from 2019 State of the Division Annual Report

"Hollymead is a PK-5 school that improves outcomes for all students by engaging all stakeholders, implementing balanced curriculum and assessments, creating and expanding partnerships, and optimizing resources." [3]

Baseball field

Carson Raymond Field at the school got lights for the first time in April 2017, allowing for games in the Northside Cal Ripken Youth Baseball League to play into the evening. [4]
