Reverend Herman A. Watts was the tenth pastor of the Mount Zion First African Baptist Church[1], serving from July 3, 1949 to 1952. During his pastorate, he organized the Deaconess Ministry, the Young Men's Ushers, and the Social Club. He also designated the first Sunday in each month as Young People's Day.
