Guy B. Agnor, Jr.

Guy B. Agnor, Jr. was Albemarle County Executive from April 1, 1976 to December 31, 1990.[1] He received the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce's Paul Goodloe McIntire Citizenship Award in 1995. [2]

Biography

Before entering public service he helped run his family's farm supply company in Lexington.

Before being hired by Albemarle County, he worked as the public works director for the city of Charlottesville. [3] That meant he was in charge of the Avon Street Landfill that is now home to Fifth Street Station.

Agnor was also one of the first members of the Planning and Coordination Council. [4]
