JABA
Walker became CEO of JABA since 1987. On July 30, 2012, he was awarded the President’s Award for Leadership in the Aging Network by the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging in Denver, CO.[2]
The Daily Progress honored him in 2012 by including him in that year's class of the Distinguished Dozen. [3]

Walker is a former member of the Albemarle County School Board, elected in 2001 to represent the Samuel Miller Magisterial District.
