GO Virginia Region 9 is one of many subsections of Virginia's Growing Opportunities" initiative and is supported by the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development. Region 9 consists of the city of Charlottesville; and the counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, and Rappahannock.

Initiatives funded through GO Virginia Region 9
- Go Virginia Region 9 contributed $300,000 to Venture Central in June 2023. [1]
- Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy – This is a regional economic development strategy endorsed by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District in May 2024 [2]
- Albemarle County's Rivanna Futures project received $613,570 to cover the cost of site design for the first 50 acres of the initiative in the spring of 2025 [3]
