The Earlysville Volunteer Fire Company is a rural/urban interface fire company that provides fire protection for Earlysville and surrounding areas, covering more than 100 square miles in Albemarle County. This area includes the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport.
The group was given its first fire engine by the Charlottesville Fire Department[1].
In 2010, one of its longtime volunteers, Lois Deane, was named as one of the Daily Progress' "Distinguished Dozen" for her years of service.
