- 1926 – The Chamber of Commerce sought to have a large delegation to a morning meeting of the State Highway Commission to support funding of Route 28 between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. [1]
- 2019 – Charlottesville City Council votes 3-2 to send 218 West Market Street project back to Charlottesville Planning Commission [2]

Deaths
- 1926 – Alfred Washington dies from hemorrhage pulmonary tuberculosis and is buried at Hickory Hill Cemetery in Albemarle County. A resident of Chestnut Grove and a farmhand, he was called up for service in World War I and had his portrait photograph included within the Holsinger Studio Collection.
