David Cole Wilson is the founder of the department of neurology and psychiatry at the University of Virginia Medical School.
Wilson died on October 30, 1980. [1]
Biography
Wilson was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from UVA in 1912 and his medical degree in 1919. He had also served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War I.
Wilson joined the faculty of the UVA Medical School in 1929 as an associate professor of neurology and became a full professor in 1935. He retired in 1957. [1]
