Daniel Nairn

Daniel Nairn is a former Regional Planner for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission.[1] He began working at the TJPDC as an intern in 2009, while pursuing a masters degree at the University of Virginia. Nairn left the TJPDC in July 2013, accepting a position as Director of Planning and Zoning in Morton County, North Dakota.[2]

Background

Nairn was born near Albany, New York, but grew up in Delaware. Nairn earned a degree in philosophy and economics from the University of Delaware and a masters in theology from Gordon-Conwell, a seminary in Boston. He and his wife moved to Charlottesville in 2008, whereupon Nairn began his graduate studies in the Urban and Environmental Planning program at University of Virginia and his wife found employment as a Spanish teacher in the Charlottesville city schools.[1]
