Cornerstone Real Estate (CSRE) is a family-owned, full-service real estate firm based in Charlottesville. Established in 2008, Cornerstone Real Estate is an established, successful firm with a long and growing list of satisfied clients. Principal Broker & Owner Steve Taylor has a strong business and technology background, including a B.B.A. in Information Processing from The George Washington University and over 20 years’ experience in business and real estate. In 2016, Steve added two exceptional individuals to his team, Team Taylor: Sean Sawyer, and Abby Khanal.

Steve Taylor is the Principal Broker and Owner of Cornerstone Real Estate. He utilizes his strong technology background in support of his marketing efforts for clients. His prior consulting experience lends itself especially well to CSRE’s client-centric business model. Steve truly sees each client not as an individual “transaction” but rather as an opportunity to cultivate a long-term professional relationship with a satisfied buyer or seller client. Steve consistently infuses this mindset into the daily activities of his team. The result is a steady stream of repeat and referral business and Steve cites the consistent execution of this business model as the single biggest key to CSRE’s success.

Sean Sawyer grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. After graduating from Old Dominion University in 2005, he moved to Florida to take a job working in Facility Operations for the Tampa Bay Rays. After a stint living and working in Los Angeles, Sean relocated back to Virginia in September, 2016 and joined CSRE. Sean has two primary roles with Team Taylor. He is a licensed Buyer’s Agent, which involves showing homes to our buyer clients, facilitating the home inspection process, and helping guide our buyers through the home purchase process. Sean is also responsible for our Property Management Division, serving as the primary interface between landlords and tenants as well as coordinating resolutions to maintenance issues and managing our leases.

After 4 years at Virginia Tech, Abby Khanal moved back to her hometown of Charlottesville, VA and joined CSRE in October, 2016. Abby’s role with Team Taylor is to manage the office and to deliver the highest levels of exceptional client service on behalf of CSRE. Abby is frequently the first point of contact between the public and CSRE. As the “face of the company,” Abby frequently interfaces between potential new clients and the rest of the team. An unlicensed assistant, Abby manages the entire operation’s schedule, coordinates all non-negotiating activities and milestones in our transactions from contract to settlement, and ensures that our clients are expertly guided through the buying or selling process.
