Charlottesville Works is an initiative launched by the Greater Charlottesville Area Development Corporation, an affiliate of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce. "The program's goal is to help families achieve economic progress and self-sufficiency by facilitating local business expansion and job development and helping people to get and maintain employment."[1]

The project is directed by Ridge Schuyler.

In 2016, the initiative moved underneath the auspices of Piedmont Virginia Community College. [2] [3]
