Independent Order of Odd Fellows Monticello Lodge 97 is child organization, under the parent exemption from The Independent Order of Oddfellows Sovereign Grand Lodge. Also known as 97 Monticello Lodge. "Our function is to raise funds to contribute to various recognized charities to elevate the character of mankind."

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) is a fraternal organization, founded 1819 in Baltimore, Maryland. It evolved from the Order of Odd Fellows, founded in England during the 1700s. Odd Fellows recognize the inevitability of death, so they ask themselves, “How will I spend my life?” With this self-awareness, an Odd Fellow then seeks to master their thoughts and actions. They focus on serving others.
