Blue Ridge Area Coalition for the Homeless

The Blue Ridge Area Coalition for the Homeless (formerly Thomas Jefferson Area Coalition for the Homeless) is a broad-based coalition of individuals and organizations working to end homelessness in our region through strategic planning, coordination of services, and public education/advocacy on the causes and impacts of homelessness.

Each year they conduct a "point-in-time" survey of homeless individuals in the area.

BRACH is the lead agency for implementation of the U.S. Department of Housing an Urban Development's Continuum of Care program. [1]

History

TJACH was created in 1998 as a former program of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. [1]

The The Haven began as a program of BRACH but went independent in 2015. [2] [3]
