Atlas Comics was a retail comic book store located in the Rio Hill Shopping Center in Charlottesville, VA. It was purchased by Telegraph (now Hello Comics) in May 2019[1]. The store at one time also had a location Ivy Road.

Free Comic Book Day

Every year on the first Saturday in May, Atlas Comics participated in Free Comic Book Day, a national event where participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores.

Signings, Appearances & Other Events

From time to time, Atlas hosted special events in the store, including autograph signings with Jim Shooter (former Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief) and local artist Arnaud Boudoiron (artist on Marvel Comics' Husk), as well as live music showcases with local musicians and artists.
