Anne Mae Bailey

Anne Mae Bailey is one of many people painted by Charlottesville artist Frances Brand as part of her "First" series. Bailey was selected for introducing the study of French into Charlottesville City Schools and for being was president of The Albemarle Arts Association.

Bailey also founded what would become Bailey Park at U.S. 250 & Hillcrest. [citation needed]
