Angell Husted is the owner of a dance studio in Lake Monticello.

A former news anchor and reporter for NBC, Husted has also hosted the Dogwood Festival's annual fashion show. 2009 marked the 25th year that she had hosted the Children's Miracle Network Telethon and the 36th year that she had hosted the Dogwood Festival Grand Feature Parade. In 1999 she tap-danced 20 miles to be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records. In 2009 Husted was recognized as one of the Daily Progress Distinguished Dozen.[1]
