Amanda C. Hester will become the superintendent of Nelson County public schools on July 1, 2022. She is currently assistant superintendent for instruction at Louisa County public schools. [1]

Biography
Hester has both a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Richmond, a post-graduate certificate in administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Virginia.
Hester has also served as principal of Spotsylvania High School. In 2020, she secured a $100,000 Rural Tech Project Award for Louisa County Public Schools. [1]
