Biography
Walker was born in Brooklyn, New York and died in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is buried in Maplewood Cemetery. He arrived in Charlottesville in 1906 after a career as a newspaper writer. One of his works in Charlottesville was the publication of the Daily Progress Historical and Industrial Magazine, an illustrated publication of local legends, history, and who's who. During that time he met and married Bessie Carroll Valentine, the daughter of a local businessman named Robert Poore Valentine.
