Albemarle Products Company was a canning factory located in the Rose Hill Neighborhood and purchased in 1918 by S.A. Birch for $11,350. Prior to being purchased, it was managed by W. A. Nelon.[1] Referred to as the “Canning Factor,” its products were competing successfully with larger concerns of New York and California. [2]
