Deaths
- April 15 – Eugene Frazier, Jr. Lieutenant Robert Frazier, age 50, employed with the Charlottesville Police Department for 21 years, and had been a deputy with Albemarle County for almost nine years, suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in the 209th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
