The 1946 municipal was held on Tuesday June 11, 1946. Charlottesville voters went to the polls to give Roscoe S. Adams (D), incumbent, and Gus K. Tebell (D), unopposed Democratic nominees, 237 and 233 votes, respectively, thereby edging out B. A. Coles for the two open seats on the City Council.
