The 1904 election was held on June 14, 1904. Only 215 our o 687 registered voters of the city cast their ballots for Mayor and Councilmen of the four wards. According to the Daily Progress, "There was no opposition to the ticket nominated by the Democratic primary, so that the people seemed to take for granted that their votes were not necessary." George W. Olivier of the Forth Ward was elected Mayor.
