Albert C. Weed II

Albert "Al" C. Weed II founded Nelson County's Mountain Cove Vineyards in 1973.[1] Weed was a co-founder of Public Policy Virginia in 2005.[2]

Weed is also the chairman of the board of directors for the Center for Natural Capital. [3]

Community Service

Al Weed served as a member of the Board of Directors of Advocates for a Sustainable Albemarle Population and during that period was the organization's Vice President.[4]

Election history

In 2004 and 2006, Al Weed challenged, unsuccessfully, the incumbent Virgil Goode (R) in the election for the 5th district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
